Nutrition/dietetic coaching provides you with support and accountability to make long-term, sustainable changes. Whether your goals are related to weight loss, performance, managing a health condition or improving your relationship with food our evidenced-based protocols are tailored-made, specific and individual to your preferences, lifestyle and desired goals. Receive ongoing support and guidance from a Registered Dietitian. 

All consultations are online. 

You may be able to claim back some or all fees of consultations through private health insurance

Frequently Asked Questions 

  • Do I need to bring anything to the first consultation?
    No, you don't need to bring anything. If you have blood test results, a food diary, scan results (eg. DEXA), list of medications or supplements that you are taking or anything else that would be useful, it is a bonus if you bring it. There is nothing that is necessary for you to bring. We can discuss everything within the session.
  • How do you conduct online consultations?
    We use a secure video platform for healthcare professionals. You will receive a link to the call in your booking and reminder emails.
  • How many consultations will I need?
    There is a minimum 3 month subscription to the nutrition coaching. This is because changes take time and our approach is based on evidence, not quick fixes. People typically engage in regular consultations until the goal is achieved. Some clients are ongoing long term clients due to adjusting goals over time. Other clients only need a few consultations to achieve their goals, it is very individual to you.
  • Is there communication between consutlations?
    Yes, we communicate between sessions via text messages or email. We include this as part of the service and will check in with you on a weekly basis. Some clients like to do a weekly check-in form in addition to consultations. The communication further improves outcomes. Our policy is to respond within 24 hours with the exception of weekends and bank holidays.
  • Do you ever do one off consultations or plans?
    Yes. Although we see a lot more value in the ongoing nature of the service due to adjustments required being the key variable in success, we also offer one-off consultations. You can book a consultation online through our booking portal.
  • How long does it take to receive my plan?
    You will receive your plan within 2 business days of the consultation.
  • How often should I expect to have consultations?
    Our nutrition coaching includes a fortnightly consultation. The 'Maintain Your Success' coaching includes a monthly consultation.
  • Do I have to track calories?
    No you don't. Our approach is completely individual and tailored to meet your needs and desired goals. Calorie counting is definitely not essential and in many circumstances we don't recommend it. It is just another tool.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    At least 24 hours notice must be provided if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. It is understood that in some circumstances, short notice may occasionally be unavoidable and discretion will be exercised where appropriate. Contact the dietitian at info@sineadodonovan.com with any queries. If you fail to attend the appointment, you will not be entitled to any refund or credit of the charge and that will be counted as one of your fortnightly consultations. If it is a once off consultation, failure to attend will incur 50% of the consultation fee.
  • When do I pay for the consultation/coaching?
    Payment of all services is required in advance and the Dietitian shall be under no obligation to provide the service to you unless and until fees have been paid.
